Asgeir Kjølstad Lervåg is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Finance at NHH. One of the main reasons he chose THEMA is his interest in the energy sector: “The internship at THEMA is an opportunity to delve into complex issues within this sector. THEMA’s projects are also very relevant to my studies, since I’ve taken several courses related to finance and energy.” Asgeir has already started working on projects: “One project involves assisting with revenue cap and efficiency projections for grid companies, as well as general support related to trends and developments in grid regulation. The other project focuses on analysing costs associated with transitioning from gas- to hydrogen-based steam production.”
Falk Behrens is studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. During his studies, he has worked on energy and climate-related issues, both from an economic and political perspective. “THEMA is a great place to gain practical experience from the power industry,” says Falk. “I hope the projects will allow me to learn more about market design and incentive schemes in the energy sector.” Falk is also interested in taxation and hopes to gain insight into how different climate taxes impact the power industry. “I’m also looking forward to gaining experience in the consulting industry and working closely with knowledgeable colleagues,” he adds.
We’re thrilled to have Asgeir and Falk as part of our team this winter!
