From left: Eirik Lindberg, Viktor Moulin, Tora Dahl, Tobias Aas, Christian Rognes, Jonas Mehlem og Asbjørn Nisi.
Asbjørn has a MSc in Industrial Economics and Technology Management (NTNU), specialising in electrical power engineering, optimization and applied economics. He has interned in the Low Carbon Solutions department in Equinor and was a business analyst intern in the hydrogen company Hystar. On the question of “Why THEMA”, he says: “It is a privilege to work in an environment where there is so much broad and in-depth knowledge of the energy sector. There is always an expert in the office if you need someone to discuss with”.
Christian has studied Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU. He previously worked on the commercial side with PEM-electrolysers in Hystar, as well with mapping out the potential for biogas production in Europe, and the costs related to biogas production at Rystad Energy. We asked him what he is looking forward to learning more about in THEMA: “I am looking forward to taking a deep dive into the details of power markets, their dynamics, and how they may be modelled to gain insights. I am also looking forward to learning more about the different issues that actors in the energy sector are facing”.
Jonas has just finished a PhD in Electrical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. He previously worked as a Chief Engineer at the institute for High Voltage Equipment and Grids at the same university. Having worked in the German energy sector for the last years, Jonas is curious to learn more about the Norwegian power sector and combine modelling and consulting: “In THEMA I believe to have found exactly what allows me to combine these two interests: modelling the complex reality to produce relevant quantitative results and developing solutions to overcome the current challenges in the energy sector.”
Tobias has recently completed his master in Energy and Environment, specialising in electrical energy engineering and smart grids, at NTNU Trondheim. He has previously worked at Å Energi and has experience with developing visualisation tools and AI-based tools. THEMA’s work with the energy transition is one of the main reasons why he chose THEMA: “It’s a field that requires many different educational backgrounds, which I knew THEMA focuses on. The office is filled with competent professionals who are great to discuss with and, not least, learn from”.
Tora has a master’s in industrial economics and technology management form NTNU, specialising in Strategy and Electrical Engineering. She interned at THEMA in 2023, and has also had an internship at Statsbygg, working with energy efficiency management. She is looking forward to learning more about how policies, markets and the physicals constraints of the energy system all interact in the transition to a more sustainable society.
Viktor has a master’s degree in economics from NTNU and has consulting experience from internships at PwC and Sopra Steria. He says that THEMA is the perfect place to work on something meaningful like the green transition, and at the same time getting to improve further in the field of economics: “Having a variety of projects and tasks also greatly appeals to me, so THEMA was really the perfect place.”
Eirik has a master’s degree in Financial Economics from NHH and a CEMS degree in International Management. He has previously worked with strategy and transactions in EY and Telenor. On the question of why he chose THEMA, he says: “I wish to contribute to and work with the energy transition. Consultants often have the privilege of being close to the center of events.”
