Education: PhD (electrical power engineering) and MSc (mechanical engineering) from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology)
I work on organisational development, business development and strategy consulting for power companies. We help our customers establish corporate strategies based upon their competitive advantages and market projections; we compare the operational and financial performance of our customers against their peers (benchmarking and best practices); and we identify how our customers can adapt to changes in the energy market, identifying sources of growth, inorganic vs. organic, and the steps needed to realise them. Our customers include both companies in the power sector, as well as government agencies.
I have more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry and working as a consultant has enabled me to tackle difficult and important issues for a wide variety of clients. I have also gotten to know many of the great people working in energy. We are fortunate at THEMA to work so closely together and to create our own workplace. Otherwise, I am convinced that life is best lived outside: “… and the only thing better than a long skiing trip … is an even longer skiing trip!”
