Yi-kuang conducts scenario analysis of the European wholesale power market. She translates client needs and problems into model input and simulations, and then interprets the model input and output dynamics to provide the client with power market insights.
Yi-kuang also supports the continuous development of the TheMA model and its surrounding framework. The TheMA model is the main tool used for our analysis and is also used directly by many of our clients. Yi-kuang uses the feedback from our users to ensure that the model is easy to use and delivers robust results.
Education:
PhD in Renewable Energy (NMBU), MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems (KTH in Sweden & AGH in Poland), BSc in Chemical Engineering (NTU in Taiwan)

I enjoy working with, or as the interface between, people and the model. A model follows mathematical equations to produce output based on input. The value lies in how I translate the assumptions and communicate the findings.
