Education: MSc in Economics (University of Oslo), Certified Power Market Analyst (Norwegian School of Economics), International Relations and Political Economy (National University of Singapore)
I am responsible for our price forecasts for the Nordic, Baltic and European power markets, as well as various ‘green’ markets such as those for Electricity Certificates, Guarantees of Origin and the EU ETS. I am regularly in contact with players looking to invest in the Nordic power market and often work to help them understand the market dynamics, price trends and the risks associated with their investments. Long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) have become very important to the financing of new projects and I therefore increasingly conduct PPA analyses. I also regularly contribute to other projects where market knowledge and experience from power trading are important.
I like working in teams formed of experts in a range different areas with whom I can spar and from whom I can learn. In THEMA, I also get to use the power market and power trading knowledge that I have accumulated over many years in the industry. Using this experience and my analytical skills, I get to help market players deal with the issues currently facing the sector. I also appreciate having a lot of contact with our customers, who feel first-hand the changes the industry is going through.
