Julian figures out how best to organise and regulate energy markets, an area of work known as market design. His work includes cross-border market integration, network regulation and tariff design, climate and energy policy, and retail competition.
These issues impact a wide range of stakeholders and, as a result, he works with governments, regulators, and commercial clients in many different countries.
