Education: PhD in Mathematics and MSc Economics (London School of Economics), Master in Economics and Master in Mathematics (University Konstanz)
I lead model development and the quantitative analysis team at THEMA. When I started at THEMA in 2010, I was responsible for developing our power market model, TheMA. I am also heavily involved in our price forecasts, investment analysis and scenario analysis. Last, but not least, I do a lot of projects for our German and Continental clients and follow German and Continental electricity market developments closely.
I like to work with concrete quantitative challenges and model development. I am at my most motivated when it comes to finding elegant and efficient solutions, illustrations, and persuasive solutions to the complicated quantitative challenges and questions that our clients face. This approach is appreciated both by THEMA and – most importantly – by our clients. Of course, I also enjoy working in an environment with so many bright people. Working at THEMA is a constant learning experience.
Prior experience: Charles River Associates, CRA (London), Deutsche Bank (Frankfurt), Econ Analyse/Econ Pöyry (Oslo)
