Øystein analyses how regulation, market design and policy instruments shape the framework conditions and decision-making of actors in the energy sector. He works for public authorities and industry stakeholders, including power producers, grid companies and industry organisations.
He has particular expertise in regulatory and market-related issues concerning offshore wind, the economic regulation of grid and district heating companies, and the market for Guarantees of Origin.
Education:
Five-year master’s degree in economics (NTNU Trondheim), Exchange year (LMU Munich)
Prior experience:
BN Bank (internship), Institute of Transport Economics (research assistant)
