At THEMA, I have worked on several strategy processes for different actors in the energy market, through which I have acquired an extensive knowledge of the most important trends and drivers in the national and international energy system, as well as their impacts on Norwegian actors. These actors need to understand the implications of the profound changes to the energy system being driven by ambitious climate and energy goals, the rapid development of renewable power technologies and digitalisation.
Decarbonisation will require the electrification of, amongst other things, the transport sector, and I have worked with new and interesting challenges arising at the intersection of the energy and transport systems.
I get to work in a sector that is both socially important and facing dramatic change. The path to a low-carbon, sustainable society requires us to deal with some important and challenging issues, in which we must consider the impacts for sustainability, efficiency and economic growth. Getting to work on these issues is both interesting and rewarding. THEMA is a great place to work with lovely, engaged and competent colleagues. We have a very good work environment with interesting academic discussions, as well as fun, not-so-academic discussions and social events.
