Education: Double Diploma, Industrial Engineer – Specializing in Energy and Environmental Management (University of Flensburg and the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences)
I advise stakeholders in the private and public sectors on the changing energy and climate landscape, and forecast price patterns in traded energy commodities. I have a proven track record of successfully handling large-scale projects as well as managing diverse teams. At THEMA I am responsible for forecasting and analysing developments related to the EU Emission Trading system (EU ETS) and European power markets.
I have a keen interest in Europe’s decarbonisation pathway and more than ten years of relevant experience across various employers and locations. Throughout my career, I have worked towards the decarbonisation of the European economy by providing analytical insights to key decision-makers, the trading community and policymakers. At THEMA, I am delighted to join a very experienced cross-disciplinary team, enabling us to think out of the box and come up with creative solutions to complex topics. I like intellectual challenges and prefer to tackle them with a solid analytical-backed approach. THEMA’s strong modelling background provides us with a toolbox to simulate the world of tomorrow. As the energy landscape is in a rapid transition, I am excited to play my part in putting Europe on a net zero pathway.
Earlier employers: Before joining THEMA, I headed the European carbon and power analytics team at ICIS as well as the EU carbon analytics team at Thomson Reuters (now Refinitiv). I have also worked in analyst roles with E.ON Energy Trading (now Uniper).
