Daniel will be completing his M.Sc. in International Energy Economics and Business Administration at the University of Leipzig and the Moscow Governmental Institute for International Relations this summer. He has previously had a student job at Vattenfall Energy Trading, where he among other things worked on corporate Power Purchase Agreements. He has also been a working student in the energy consultancy team at EY. This summer he is looking forward to working with THEMA's experts and deepening his knowledge of the complex intricacies of the energy industry while pushing forward a just and sustainable energy transition.
Haakon is studying Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Finance. He previously worked as a management consultant intern in Arkwright Consulting and has also worked in Visma on a project in the intersect between strategy and technology. Haakon thinks an internship at THEMA is a unique opportunity to better understand the energy sector. He looks forward to being involved in solving problems that can potentially have major environmental and socio-economic effects.
Bradford is studying a masters’ in Public Economics at the Freie Universität Berlin with one year remaining. Since 2021 he has worked as a research assistant for the chair of an applied microeconomics professor at the FU Berlin alongside his studies. He applied for the THEMA internship because he wanted to apply theoretical knowledge from his studies to real-world situations, and he believes that the energy sector is the most exciting area to do this. This summer Brad is looking forward to gaining a deeper understanding of power markets and new energy laws in both Germany and Europe.
Asbjørn just finished his fourth year studying Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU, with a specialization in electric power engineering and optimization. He previously had an internship in the “Low carbon solutions” department in Equinor, where he was working with hydrogen and CCS solutions. Last year he interned as a business analyst in the hydrogen company Hystar, working with optimization models. He applied for the internship in THEMA because he wants to learn more about the energy sector and its related challenges and opportunities. He is looking forward to working on projects that matter and gain insights about a complex industry.
